Unlike many bat houses that are simply made to look pretty to the owner, this bat house is actually designed with bats in mind. Don't miss our Bat Detector. Why would you want bats to move in? Because they consume large quantities of insects such as mosquitos, grasshoppers, moths, flies, crickets, gnats and fruit flies while you sleep. A single brown bat can eat up to 600 mosquitoes in one hour! We looked around for the perfect bat house, found a gentleman in Texas who manufactures them for us. After much success with his original model, we challenged him to make an even bigger bat house, and he came through with flying colors! The bat house will get best results if it is located 15 to 20 feet off the ground, facing the southeast. You can mount a bat house under the eaves of your house, provided it is high enough off the ground, or high in a tree or from a pole. Ready to Hang! This large rustic bat house is hand made of western red cedar beveled siding and OSB board. The two roosting chambers are 3/4" to 1" wide as recommended by Organization for Bat Conservation. This design will allow bats to enter but will deter predators such as squirrels and wasps from building nests. Front and side ventilation slots allow the bat colony to breath and help control temperature variations. The inside chambers and large landing area at the bottom, comes with a plastic mesh. The mesh will help the bats to hold on easier. This model measures 24" tall x 17" wide x 4" deep and will hold up to 150 bats. Each house is custom made by hand, so please bear in mind that it takes approximately 2 weeks for these orders to arrive. Bat House Features What our customers are saying: "Attached you will find the pictures of the bat house we recently purchased from you and the guano on the bottom of the house. Bats were in the house in less than one month of installation." SPECIAL BONUS! Send us a picture of your bat house that you purchased from Clean Air Gardening after bats have moved in and we'll send you a second bat house free. Customers Also Purchased:
